Robert Thomas has successfully represented and defended numerous Texas police officers in a State of Texas license revocation or suspension hearing before the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE). He has more than six years of experience regarding the representation of Texas police officers before the staff and/or administrative hearing officers of TCLEOSE. The governor appointed Mr. Thomas to the nine-member board of directors of TCLEOSE in 1983.He served a six-year term on the board. During his tenure on the board, his fellow commissioners elected him as the secretary and the vice-chairman of the board. Mr. Thomas declined to represent any officer before the commission until approximately ten years after he was replaced on the board of directors of TCLEOSE.
